Makerspaces and the standards for 21st century teachers
The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership has created a framework of standards for 21st century teachers. The framework can be used as a teacher self-reflection, self-assessment and professional development tool. Using the framework also allows teachers to demonstrate their skills and capabilities (1).
Below is provided an analysis of the standards at the graduate and proficient teacher level of the standards to help analyse the use of Makerspaces in a school context.
