YOUmedia Network
YOUmedia is a network for schools and libraries that utilize Makerspaces to emphasize learning beyond the classroom. The learning approach behind YOUmedia is one of
connected learning. Connected learning
is defined by YOUmedia (N.D., para 8) as “learning that is socially connected, interest-driven, and
oriented toward educational, economic, or political opportunity."
Goals of YOUmedia
The goals of the connected learning approach of YOUmedia are:
- interest powered
- peer supported
- academically oriented
- production centered
- networked
